There have been alot of rumors about GHS starting a uniform policy for the 06-07 school year. Over the years, the dress code has changed dramatically. My dad graduated over 20 years ago, and back then, the only dress code rule was to wear clothes. Since then, the dress code has added rules about having no facial hair, no camoflauge, no long hair (on guys), and only one post earring (for guys, again). With the dress code being added to every year, we are basically going to uniforms.

The faculty is split evenly- for and against. The ones for it say that it will save money because you won’t have to go out and buy new clothes. The one against it say it will take away from what individuality the students have left. Of course, most students (including myself), are against it.

Many rumors have arisen on whether or not the vote will pass. Some say that it was voted out, while other say it was either voted for or not even voted on. Only the Board of Education really knows…at least until next year.
